Georgetown Tidal Tales has announced the theme for our NEXT SHOW, scheduled for May 31, 2025, in Georgetown. The show will be held at a venue to be announced in Georgetown. All proceeds from our next show (over production costs) will be donated to a LOCAL Georgetown nonprofit, also to be announced shortly.
We want to hear your stories about reinventing yourself, starting over, making a change in your perspective that altered your life’s course. WHY you did it might be an integral part of your story. Something recent may come to mind immediately, or our theme may trigger a memory from your past. Your story must be true and you must be able to tell it in 5 minutes with no notes in front of a supportive Georgetown audience!
Did you return to Georgetown from Pittsburgh after your children grew up?
Did you move on from a difficult relationship?
Did you leave your job as a CPA to become a stand-up comic?
Did you color your hair yourself and have an emergency session with a stylist to fix it?
Did you leave your job to start a nonprofit? (I DID!)
The point is, EVERYONE has a story–simply submit your pitch online on our home page, or click here. The Tidal Tales Producer will contact you if your story is selected for the show. Next, you will attend a “ZOOM” workshop with the other storytellers, where you will tell your story and receive valuable feedback. And then it’s on to the show! (We will be working with the venue to see if there is an opportunity to bring you onstage so you can get a feel for it before the performance night.)
