Everyone has a story! We want to hear your TRUE, 5-minute story on the topic “First on the Scene!”
Pitch your story to us, here!
Georgetown Tidal Tales has announced the theme for our NEXT SHOW, scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Georgetown. The show will be held at Winyah Auditorium, 12000 Highmarket Street in downtown Georgetown. All proceeds from our next show (over production costs) will be donated to a LOCAL Georgetown nonprofit, to be announced shortly.
We want to hear your stories about what you did when you came upon a situation where you had to take action and do something. Or, maybe YOU were the first child, the first to do something, the first in your family to get into gluten-free cooking? WHY you did it might be an integral part of your story. Something recent may come to mind immediately, or our theme may trigger a memory from your past. Your story must be true and you must be able to tell it in 5 minutes with no notes in front of a supportive Georgetown audience!
Did you deliver a baby in the front seat of your minivan?
Did you rescue a dog off the street in a hurricane?
Were YOU the first child? The first in the family to take up bodybuilding? Were you FIRST on the cryptocurrency scene?
Did you help folks exit a house or vehicle fire?
Did you teach your child to parallel park after your spouse announced he had failed to do so?
The point is, EVERYONE has a story–simply submit your pitch online on our home page, or click here. The Tidal Tales Producer will contact you if your story is selected for the show. Next, you will attend a “ZOOM” workshop with the other storytellers, where you will tell your story and receive valuable feedback. And then it’s on to the show!
If you are not chosen this time, please don’t be discouraged. Tidal Tales will present four shows in 2026–and you can submit again if the next theme moves you. Have a look at our remaining December 2025 show theme and date, here.
We thank you in advance for your participation and look forward to hearing your pitch!
